Custom Hotel Recalls the Romance of Air Travel – With 21st Century Tech Touch to Get Guests Onboard On Time

Chicago, IL (PRWEB) - Flyte Systems announced the Custom Hotel in Los Angeles installed the FlyteBoard real-time airline arrival and departure display to aid airport bound travelers. Minutes from Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), the Custom Hotel recalls the glamour of flying during the 1960s when air travel was an adventure. The recently restyled property operated by Joie de Vivre Hotels reflects the colors and designs of that era, but with today's high-tech amenities. LAX Lounge mirrors luxury airport VIP lounges where guests hang while waiting for flights The FlyteBoard is mounted in the property's 11th floor LAX Lounge, which is inspired by a luxury airport VIP lounge with plush seating, PC, printer for boarding passes, work desks, and a 42" flat panel television. For the utmost in convenience, the Custom Hotel also provides guests with Flyte Systems real-time, interactive flight information though the property's in-room entertainment system.

Flyte Systems is the leading provider of airport travel information displays and digital signage content for the hospitality industry, digital signage, convention centers and related businesses.

"The Custom Hotel is the only lifestyle boutique hotel near LAX and close to West LA's beach communities, so it is ideal for travelers who want to stay at a hotel with a fun, cheeky design," said Alina Wade, director of sales for the Custom Hotel. "We officially re-launched mid-September with a new attitude, airport themes, and updated amenities like the FlyteBoard we have in our LAX Lounge. It is a great place to chill out while waiting for our SUV airport shuttle ride to the airport." Flyte Systems is the only full service flight information display solution that provides real-time airline flight information for one or more airports.

"We frequently provide service for distressed passengers and the LAX Lounge is where they congregate to wait for a new flight. Naturally, the FlyteBoard is the main attraction because it gives them accurate information on when they need to be back at LAX," said Wade.

Staff uniforms at the Custom Hotel are inspired by ‘60s airline staff, with the women in sleek blouses and pencil skirts, and the men in opened collar dress shirts with pinstriped details. Name tags resemble those of airline staff as well. The Custom Hotel is Joie de Vivre's fifth boutique property in Southern California, joining the Shorebreak Hotel in Huntington Beach, Pacific Edge Hotel in Laguna Beach, Hotel Erwin in Venice Beach, and Hotel Angeleno in Brentwood.
